You decide what works for you and what doesn't. You don't have to feel obligated every time someone asks you to do something for them or when they do something nice for you. You'll change that obligation and stuck feeling into feelings of confidence and power and you'll be doing things because you want to not because you feel like you have to or because it is expected of you.
